Google and Apple WILL get into the car business

 

Google's self-driving prototype car presented during a demonstration at the Google campus in Mountain View, California. Technology giants Google and Apple are said to be working on their own vehicles rather than simply supplying software to the mainstream brands because they have been hiring the best brains in the automotive business for the past couple of years. Designing and developing a car is quite complex, its not so easy to make this and you are (suddenly) a car manufacturer worldwide, said Dr Hackenberg.

Technology giants Google and Apple are said to be working on their own vehicles — rather than simply supplying software to the mainstream brands — because they have been hiring the best brains in the automotive business for the past couple of years.

“We don’t fear competition and we know what we are able to do,” said Dr Hackenberg. “We don’t know what Apple is able to do, how they will find a way to realise (car manufacturing). But we know we can do a lot of things and we don’t fear competition.”
